Today was mostly driving through wide open land with A LOT of fields – corn, wheat, sunflowers, soybeans – and a lot of prairie with nothing on it except maybe an occasional cow or fence to mark property boundaries.
There are historical markers along the highway across Montana. We stopped at a few, but mostly just tried to keep up momentum in driving. Here is a bit of random information about cattle brands.
This afternoon we finally arrived in Glacier National Park! We unhitched the camper and set up camp, hit the St. Mary Visitor Center, drove as far as Goose Island on Going-to-the-Sun Road, and then grabbed dinner to prepare for an early day tomorrow.
