Today started off with the mundane duties of washing clothes and fighting with WiFi to get pictures uploaded. Around noon, we headed south from the campground to the St. Ignatius mission.
There was some beautiful artwork in this church, apparently painted by the cook. Here’s a sample:
They had some seismic activity cause some structural issues in the church, which damaged the artwork, and they were actively working to fix the plaster and repair the artwork.
After visiting the mission, we headed down to I-90 and then toward St. Regis to follow the Clark Fork River scenic byway. We stopped at a pull-off where Highways 135 and 200 meet at Paradise, MT and here was the view:
Finally, we ended up back in Polson for some great BBQ at a local joint.
